Earth Week 3rd Annual DPS used book sale- Day one

Great first day of our third annual book fair... classes came every period, kids spent their recess and lunch shopping and reading, we made at least $400 a dollar or two at a time, Thanks all the happy cutomers! The baby daycare shopped, got a box full of books for what they paid tlast week for one new book, teachers shopped for their classes, kids bought for their friends, our librarian even bought some books for the library! So many kids both donated and shopped for new books. Amazing. Thanks to all the families who donated and Bedford Park esp. Sara and Samarra who passed on their book sale leftovers. Still OK to donate and shop until Friday, love to Anu, Treya, Natchely, Heidi, Beata, Peter, Lynne, Naomi, Anya, Julia, Teresa, Angie, Tanya and Megha for collecting, shlepping, sorting and selling the books so far, making gorgeous eco art bookmarks, thanks to the  Library Love posse esp. Christine in advance for helping carry (very few, hopefully) remainders downstairs on Monday, thanks also to Maria, Amanda and Leona for organizing staff and opening the library and Shona and Brandon for help with the carts and lift keys AND the caretakers for patience and turning off the emergency exit alarm at lunch.
